Does Virginia have a qualifying conditions list?

No fixed statutory list. Under Virginia law and CCA patient guidance, a licensed eligible practitioner may issue a written certification when they determine that cannabis products may benefit a patient’s diagnosed condition or disease.

Eligibility is based on a professional medical evaluation — not a checkbox list published by the state.

Who decides?

Eligible practitioners include Virginia-licensed physicians (MD/DO), physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses with the required licenses. They review your history and current condition and decide whether certification is appropriate.
